Ambition achieved: Matthew Marsh at the 75th Le Mans

Achieving the ambition of a lifetime, Matthew Marsh will be racing in the Le Mans 24 Hours for the first time. The Ferrari 430 GT of the Italian GPC Sport team has the current driver line-up of Matthew Marsh [Hong Kong], Carl Rosenblad [Sweden] and Jesus Villarroel [Spain]. Marsh started the build-up to the big race at the test day today, completing 12 laps and pre-qualifying for the race. He has previous experience at the circuit having competed in the Le Mans Classic.

Matthew has guested on the drivetime show on Rocket FM, the cult Sussex radio station, talking about his outstanding achievements in racing Porsche cars in Asia and elsewhere. He specializes in the classic tracks including an appearance in the Porsche Carrera Cup at the Monaco Grand Prix. Last year he finished tenth, and second in class, in the Nurburgring 24 hour race held on the famous Nordschleife circuit.

He will once again race in Germany the week-end before Le Mans thus competing in two 24 hour events on successive week-ends. Coming back from injury after a high-speed crash in Macau at the end of last season we wish him well in these two Grand Prix d’endurance. Watch out for the Ferrari at Le Mans with the Bauhinia, the flower that symbolises Hong Kong, on the roof.
